Congratulations My good friend is throwing a small party to celebrate his and his wife's first year wedding anniversary. I feel I have to give them something for this occasion. I want to give them something meaningful and useful for their marriage. They are a young couple, only in their early 20's, and do not have a child yet. Hope you guys could share some cool gift ideas.

Why don't you give them a free accommodation at a cheap hotel or motel for to spend quality time together. You can also give them something kinky or naughty to add spice to their married life.
I'm thinking of a specialty cake with personal messages in strips of paper tucked on the somewhere on the cake...just make sure the paper is big enough so they won't eat it by accident!

buy them gift certificates at their favorite foot and body spa centers where they can have a relaxing day of massages and facials.
you can give them a scrapbook where they can put all their memorabilia on it.
right, its paper that's the traditional first wedding anniversary gift. you can give them tickets to their favorite concert of theater play or a major sports event that they both like.
