first time student

My niece has been enrolled this month in some kiddie class to prepare her for formal schooling on September. And since she will also be celebrating her 4th birthday next week, she has requested all her aunts and uncles to give her something that she could use once she starts attending her classes. She's pretty excited to go to "school" and is looking forward to our gifts. I hope you could share with me some ideas you might have to make my niece happy on her birthday.
