grieving friend

One of my good friends will be celebrating her birthday a few days from now. She recently loss her mother and so we don't expect her to celebrate her birthday with a party. Nevertheless, I would still like to give her a birthday present. I plan to drop by her house on her birthday just to greet her and give her my present. But I'm still thinking what gift would be suitable for her. I want to give her something that would help cheer her up and ease her pain in her time of grief.
