The Mentor Mesh Accelerator is now available

Coding Dojo is laser-focused on our alumni and students’ success. We are always looking for new topics to cover in our bootcamps and new programs that will help our alumni succeed in their careers. Many of our students are looking to change careers and learn how to code in order to start their own businesses. That’s why we’re excited to announce a new partnership with Jae Taylor and Mentor Mesh to offer a brand new program to our entrepreneurial-minded alumni. Jae is an entrepreneur, mentor and community builder, as well as a leader within the tech industry. He is also a long-standing friend of Coding Dojo, and regularly gives tech talks to students. Jae began his career as an office assistant without a degree. He has since worked at high-ranking positions at Microsoft, Salesforce, Expedia, and other companies. He is now a Twitter Group Product Manager and the founder of MentorMesh.io. This free forum offers networking opportunities and job hunting tips and tricks. Mentor Mesh Accelerator, a new program, is designed to expand the forum’s capabilities as well as to provide a simplified flow of professional development content to students. It is a program that encourages students to think entrepreneurially, and helps them grow their professional networks and increase their exposure to senior-level technology executives. Mentor Mesh Accelerator offers approximately 12 weeks of content. However, there is no expiration date or end to the program. Students can work the curriculum for as long as they want once they are enrolled. All video content can be self-paced. There are monthly AMAs with tech leaders, and weekly one-on-1s with Jae. These can be scheduled around student availability. The program includes:
Weekly Ask Me Anything (AMAs), sessions with Jae and other top-ranking tech professionals
Monthly AMAs with high-ranking tech recruiters, including Jennifer Noelle Garibay (recruiting for Google)
On-demand videos that focus on entrepreneurial topics, as well as product and data management, as well as other career subjects.
Guidance to create and manage a product portfolio project to introduce students into common product management functions and activities
Startup Guidance: Students can work with fellow cohort members to start their own business with the help of mentors
Networking challenges, contests, or other activities to help students grow their professional networks
With the guidance of cloud expert Antoni Zavelas, students can also earn their Google Associate Cloud Engineer certification

Mentor Mesh Accelerator usually costs $1,997, but Coding Dojo alumni can register for $1,497 through our partnership – a $500 discount This program does not replace our Career Services program. It is still the best way to get a great career in tech. This is a completely optional, but very exciting opportunity for any of our more entrepreneurial-minded alumni who want a deeper dive into the space. Click here to find out more or to apply.
